The teenager joined the Spanish giants on a six-year deal from Palmeiras in July 2024 after turning 18.
Endrick has however struggled for game time this season under head coach Xabi Alonso, who joined the LaLiga outfit from Bayer Leverkusen before the current campaign.
French club Lyon said wrote in social media: "Olympique Lyonnais is delighted to announce that an agreement has been reached with Real Madrid for the arrival, on a paid loan of up to 1M Euros, of Brazilian international striker Endrick until the end of the season."
Most of the Brazil international's appearances under previous mentor Carlo Ancelotti last season came from the bench, and he did score seven goals in 37 appearances.
Endrick has also found the net on three occasions in 14 caps for Brazil but his last international appearance came in March during a 4-1 World Cup qualifying defeat against Argentina in Buenos Aires.
