RB Leipzig striker looking forward to facing Mamelodi Sundowns

RB Leipzig striker Johan Bakayoko says they are playing for victory in their Red Bull Diski Last Namba friendly match against Mamelodi Sundowns tonight at the Lucas Moripe Stadium.

Leipzig arrived in South Africa on Tuesday for the RB Leipzig “Re Kaofela” South Africa Tour that sees them taking on the Brazilians who won the CAF Champions League just last weekend.

Speaking to SABC Sport, Bakayoko says he is excited to face the African champions.

I expect to see what our opponent is about, but I also expect to win. Sundowns are not from Europe, they are from Africa so they don't have the same way of playing football so I'm really interested to see their style. I heard something about 'show me your number', they say that multiple times, so I want to see what it's all about. I'm expecting to have fun and a good experience."

Leipzig have been involved in different activities throughout the week including a cultural exchange in Pretoria, car drifting as well as a public training last night at Wits University.

Bakayoko believes his teammate, defender Castello Lukeba has won the hearts of South African fans.

"I think if someone won the fans hearts it's Castello, I think everyone loves him just the way he is, he is just a nice guy. He loves dancing and creating emotions with people."
