Modise became the first footballer in Africa to reach the 100 international goal mark. Her 100th goal came in Banyanas last group match at the 2014 Womens Afcon where South Africa humiliated Algeria 5-1 to progress to the semi-finals of the competition.
She retired from the sport having scored 102 goals from 124 appearances for the senior national team just before Banyanas second appearance at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janerio, Brazil.
She was also one of the first South African women footballers to sign playing contracts in Europe.
I have shared my story so many times but this time- I will be sharing my transformation from acquiring to a life consumed with purpose and meaning.
