Patrick Vieira names Senegal squad for 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers

Senegal head coach Patrick Vieira has named a 25-man squad for the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying double-header against Sudan.

The Lions will be looking to strengthen their position in Group J when they meet the same opponents twice during the November international break.

Their campaign continues on November 12, when they welcome Sudan, before travelling for the reverse encounter four days later on November 16.

The Senegalese Football Federation confirmed the selection, which includes a blend of established international players and promising young prospects.

The two encounters will constitute the third and fourth rounds of the qualifying campaign, with Vieira's men aiming to collect maximum points from both fixtures.

Securing victories across the double-header would put Senegal in a stronger position to book their place at the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations, making the upcoming meetings particularly important to their qualification ambitions.
