Pablo Franco Martins feels AmaZulu are targeted

AmaZulu FC coach Pablo Franco Martins was left furious, following their 4 -2 loss against Orlando Pirates in the Nedbank Cup Quarterfinals at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday night.

The Buccaneers got a penalty towards the end of the first half, to get an equalizer.

Martins reflecting on the game says the decision was scandalous and suggested that Usuthu has always been targeted by a third force.

''That kind of game was amazing from both teams. I feel we can't just talk about football today, we need to look at the main reason. It's not the first one in the season. I think we are not respected at all, and no one is talking about what is happening,'' said Martins.

Usuthu showed a strong fight on the night, the Spanish-born coach says, his boys always fight against all odds.

''No, I have seen Amazing playing well and fighting to win games,'' added Martins

AmaZulu has to shift its focus to the DSTV Premiership.

They are desperate for three points, and Martins is not sure what to say to motivate his players for the remainder of the season, especially with everything that is happening.

''To be honest I don't even know after what happened today,'' he concluded.

The Durban outfit will face the Buccaneers next weekend, the Spanish coach has discussed preparations for that clash with expectations of a similar situation.

Supporters came in numbers to fill up Moses Mabhida Stadium, Pablo has thanked Usuthu loyalty for their never-die attitude, and he hopes one day they can make them proud.
