Orlando Pirates lack cutting edge in goalless draw with Richards Bay

Orlando Pirates were frustrated at the King Zwelithini Stadium after being held to a goalless draw by hosts Richards Bay.

The result was of little use to the Buccaneers as they continue to languish in eighth position in the league standings.

For the home side the point could be vital as they continue to fight the relegation battle but they remain second from bottom on the table.

The game was devoid of any clear-cut goal-scoring opportunities with Pirates going closest to snatching maximum points when Kabelo Dlamini almost scored from a free-kick.

Richards Bay goalkeeper Jackson Mabokgwane then stepped up to save his side, keeping out an effort from Tapelo Xoki.

Pirates finished the match with 10 men after Thabang Monare was shown a red card for dissent.
