South Africa booked their place in the knockout stage for the first time with a hard-fought 1-0 win, but the scoreline hardly reflected their dominance at times after creating several clear-cut chances.
Speaking to SABC Sport, the young centre-back said the team's hunger and winning mentality must remain unchanged.
"I think everyone showed heart and fought hard on the pitch for that win against Korea. Sometimes you can't even name one person who didn't do much, we all just fought for one another."
On facing Canada in Los Angeles, the Hannover 96 player revealed that the technical team has given them insights on the co-hosts.
"We've done some analysis on them, and we know they are a very aggressive team that likes to press and play on the counter. I think we will be ready for them."
History beckons for South Africa and it was visible in Okon’s expression that he and his teammates are dreaming about round of 16 qualification.
