Nathan Ake completes Fenerbahce move from Man City

Nathan Ake has completed his move from Manchester City to Turkish club Fenerbahce, ending a successful six-year spell at the Premier League champions.

Fenerbahce confirmed the signing on Friday but did not reveal the length of the defender's contract or the transfer fee.

The Turkish club welcomed the Netherlands international in an official statement, saying: "Our club has reached an agreement with and signed a contract with Nathan Ake, a player for the Dutch national team.

"Ake, who has been playing in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, will join our team at the Austrian training camp after his leave of absence."

Manchester City had not yet issued a statement on the transfer, but Ake left the club after enjoying one of the most successful periods of his career.

The 31-year-old joined City from Bournemouth in 2020 in a deal reported to be worth 45 million euros. During his time at the Etihad Stadium, he made 177 appearances in all competitions and helped Pep Guardiola's side win 12 major trophies.

Known for his versatility, Ake featured at both centre-back and left-back and became a dependable member of City's squad during their domestic and European success.

The Dutch defender also represented the Netherlands at the 2026 FIFA World Cup. He played in three of his country's four matches and started the round-of-32 defeat to Morocco, which brought the Oranje's campaign to an end.
