Morocco line up three friendly fixtures ahead of 2026 FIFA World Cup

Morocco have announced three friendly matches in preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Atlas Lions were surprise semi-finalists at the World Cup in Qatar in 2022.

They secured their place at the upcoming continental showpiece as Group E winners, ahead of Niger, Tanzania, Zambia, Congo and Eritrea.

The North Africans have since been drawn to face Brazil, Haiti and Scotland in Group C when the tournament kicks off in June.

First, new head coach Mohamed Ouahbi, who was appointed in March, after the resignation of Walid Regragui, has three games to test his side.

Morocco will play Burundi at the Mohammed VI Football Complex on May 26, Madagascar at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium on June 2.

They will then face Norway in New York on June 7.

Ouahbi has overseen two matches since taking charge of Morocco - a draw with Ecuador and win over Paraguay.
