Matuludi looks forward to Limpopo River derby vs Zimbabwe

After losing 1-0 to Egypt yesterday, Bafana need just a point to clinch their place in the last 16 stage of the AFCON.

Matuludi is one of the 16 players in coach Hugo Broos’s team, who are at their first AFCON tournament.

Matuludi, a former Dolphins right-winger is enjoying being part of the AFCON squad but hungry to progress to the knockout phase with Bafana.

More players from the Bafana Bafana camp are finding it difficult to accept the manner in which they lost to Egypt and how the officiating was carried out.

"It was a difficult one to take, because we wanted to beat Egypt or pick up a draw at least, and not lose the game, but the focus shifts to Zimbabwe.

"And on the referee's decision, I felt that the last call was supposed to be a penalty."

Bafana Bafana could still have turned things around in the second half; but they failed to convert their dominance into goals.

The Polokwane City defender also highlights how they couldn’t break down the resolute defense of Egypt.
