Man City youngster Juma Bah set for loan spell at Ligue 1 side Nice

Manchester City defender Juma Bah has completed a loan move to French side OGC Nice for the 2025/26 season.

The 19-year-old, who joined City from Real Valladolid in a controversial January 2025 deal, will be hoping to make a strong impression on the Cote d'Azur.

Bah, a composed and athletic centre-back, spent the second half of last season on loan at Lens, where he stepped in for Abdukodir Khusanov and earned plaudits for his assured performances.

Despite this, he was not selected in City's squad for the FIFA Club World Cup, with Khusanov and Vitor Reis preferred.

With competition for places fierce at the Etihad, Bah weighed up his options this summer. After holding talks with Lyon at City's training complex last week, he ultimately opted for Nice, drawn by the club's ambition and European prospects.

Managed by Franck Haise, Nice finished fourth in Ligue 1 last season and will enter the UEFA Champions League at the third qualifying round.

Bah will link up with the Nice squad for the entirety of pre-season, with the aim of securing regular first-team football.

The move represents a crucial step in his development, as he targets not only domestic success but also a breakthrough on the European stage.
