Manchester City 3-0 Sunderland
Manchester City edged closer to league leaders Arsenal after a comfotbaly seeing off high-flying Sunderland at the Eithad Stadium.
The home side took the lead just after the half-hour when defender Ruben Dias found the back of the net.
It seemed to be A defender's day to shine when Josko Gvardiol gave City a 2-0 lead at the halftime break.
The game was sealed in the 65th minute when Phil Foden scored for a second consecutive home encounter that saw his team move to within two points of the Gunners.
Tottenham 2-0 Brentford
Spurs manager Thomas Frank came up against his former club feeling the pressure after poor run of results recently.
Frank's nerves would have been eased when Richarlison scored after 25 minutes to send the home fans into raptures.
The hosts then made sure they would take maximum points from the contest when Xavi Simons netted his first Tottenham goal just before halftime.
Bournemouth 0-0 Chelsea
Cole Palmer returned to the Blues' starting line-up but it was not enough to inspire any goals after a scoreless encounter at the Vitality Stadium.
The result comes on the back of Chelsea's defeat away to Leeds United in midweek, with Enzo Maresca's chrges needing to turn things around of they are to challenge the league leaders.
