Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca to keep faith with Patson Daka

Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca has defended Patson Daka for his lack of goals in recent games.

The Zambian striker netted seven goals in his first 10 appearances of the season for the Foxes but has not scored in any of his last nine appearances.

He has also came up up short in front of goal in recent outings when he may well have scored earlier on in the season.

Showing support for his mis-firing frontman, the Leicester head coach explained that Daka is short on confidence after going for so many games without scoring.

He said on ZamFoot: "Strikers, they need goals. They need that. The other day he (Daka) missed one. But it can happen. Hopefully him, Jamie [Vardy], Kele [Kelechi Iheanacho], Tom [Cannon] if they have the chance, they can score and they can help us in the final five games of the season.

"It's just about showing them confidence and trust. And the only way to show them confidence and trust most of the time is to give them minutes. If the manager gives you minutes, it's because they trust you."
