Bayern have led the Bundesliga for much of the campaign under Vincent Kompany and have remained in contention across domestic and European competitions. Kompany has worked with a compact squad, but options have increased with Alphonso Davies and Hiroki Ito back on the pitch, while Jamal Musiala has been working his way back from injury and has been expected to return during January.
Stanisic has said competition was part of life at Bayern and believes it will raise standards when the pressure increases.
"Every player at Bayern Munich knows that competition for places is fierce," Stanisic said. "That's why everyone has to give their all when they play. No one can hold back, and that helps us a lot when we have a full squad for important matches.
"Of course, everyone wants to play, but it's up to the coach to choose the best eleven."
The Croatia international has also spoken openly about his long-term ambitions at the club.
"I believe we have the potential to shape the next generation at Bayern Munich," he said. "That's my dream. My path has never been easy, so when I get a chance, I want to show I am a good player and not just an option from the bench."
Stanisic returned to Bayern in June 2024 after a season-long loan at Bayer Leverkusen, where they won the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal.
"That year helped me a lot," he said. "I grew as a person and as a player."
His versatility remains a key strength. Stanisic has played at left-back, right-back and centre-back this season, putting him in direct competition with Davies on the left side. While Davies offers pace and attacking threat, Stanisic has impressed with his positioning and reliability, qualities that could prove vital as Bayern Munich push for trophies.
