Jorge Vilda aiming to qualify Morocco for their debut Olympics

Morocco coach Jorge Vilda insists he’s hoping to help the Lionesses of Atlas qualify for their first Olympic Games.

Morocco will build from their debut FIFA Women’s World Cup qualification where they went as far as making it to the last-16.

They will now have to overcome Zambia in a two-legged qualifier scheduled for tonight and the second leg at home on Tuesday night.

Vilda says his team is well-equipped to face Zambia tonight.

''We are excited to be here in Zambia, and we are very ready and motivated to play this team,'' said Vilda.

Vilda was coaching the Spanish senior women’s team that thrashed Zambia 5-0 in the group stages in the World Cup and says though he wasn’t a Morocco coach when they played friendlies against each other, he used these videos to study the Copper Queens game plan.

''Back in September there were couple of friendly matches that Morocco held. There were very close results but we were able to use those games as an avenue to learn,'' added Vilda.

The Spaniard says whoever will put their heart out on the field will come out victorious in this clash.
