Curtis Jones set to depart Liverpool for Serie A giants Inter Milan

Inter Milan have agreed a deal to sign Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones after all parties accepted the proposed move ahead of the start of their 2026/27 campaigns.

The 25-year-old is set to join the defending Serie A champions on a reported £30million fee after making 228 appearances for the Reds since making his debut in 2019 against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the FA Cup.

The England international contributed with 22 goals and provided 25 assists for the Merseyside giants, winning a total of eight trophies including two Premier League titles and the 2018/19 Champions League.

Jones is a Liverpool youth development product, having been at the club since he was nine years old and had only one year left on his current contract with the club.

The Englishman will become the third English footballer to join the Nerazzuri for the upcoming season after defenders John Stones and Djed Spence joining from Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur respectively.

Inter had reportedly made a previous attempt to lure the player during the last winter transfer window but Liverpool were not willing to sell Jones during the 2025/26 season.

The latest move comes as a surprise after new Liverpool boss Andoni Iraola had recently stated his desire to retain the midfielder beyond the new season, with him also being given the armband in the pre-season friendly against Leeds United earlier this month.
