Joao Pedro admits frustration after Chelsea drop points late against Burnley

Chelsea forward Joao Pedro revealed his frustration after his side dropped points late in the 1-1 draw against Burnley at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Blues took an early lead through the Brazilian star but finished the match with ten men after Wesley Fofana's second yellow card for a foul on James Ward Prowse before Zian Flemmings equalized in injury time.

More importantly the draw followed the 2-2 result against Leeds United in the last Premier League match, where Liam Rosenior side let a two-goal lead slip.

"We are very frustrated with the result," said Joao Pedro after the match.

"And especially because we did exactly the same in the last [Premier League] game. We did enough to win the game, but we couldn't find the second goal that we needed.

"We need to find solutions in these types of games, because we need to earn points in the Premier League."

The 24-year-old has scored 14 goals for the Blues in all competitions this season since his summer move from Brighton and Hove.

"I think the red card made things difficult, but we still had enough about us to get the win," added Joao.

"Before the red card, we should have put the game to bed. I'm always happy to score. It's just frustrating when you don't have the points to go with it."

Chelsea face top of the table Arsenal in a crunch clash at the Emirates Stadium next Sunday.
