Irritated Danny Jordaan refuses to answer questions on Mosimane salary

Mosimane’s salary has been the subject of public debate in the last few weeks since the association announced that he had been approved by its NEC to return for a second stint. 

This is after discrepancies between his proposed package and that of predecessor Hugo Broos were revealed. Jordaan completely lost his cool when asked about it.

"No we are not answering questions about the salary of the coach, you can ask the coach if he wants to disclose his salary but that is his business. Will you disclose your salary? That is not a question."

The 62-year-old, who was first in charge of the national team from 2010 to 2012, says he will not be coming in to disrupt the momentum gathered by Broos’ team.

With the 2027 AFCON qualifiers beginning this month already, he says he’ll be relying a lot on the team that he’s inherited.

"I'm not carrying a big broom to sweep up because we have a very good foundation in the team that went to the World Cup, mixed in are five major players who are injured. We don't have much time, we just have to replace those players."

Jingles, as Mosimane is known around the football circles, admitted that he will also try and cast his net wide for some of the players outside the country but had not played for Bafana recently. 

This could possibly open the door for the likes of Thembinkosi Lorch and Percy Tau to return to international football.
