Harry Kane wins Bundesliga Player of the Season award

Using the same votes tallied to determine the Bundesliga Team of the Season, Kane was named the overall best player in the competition after receiving the most votes of anyone in the Bundesliga.

The award is the cherry on top of truly brilliant season for the England striker, who won the first major trophy of his career when Bayern Munich were crowned Bundesliga champions.

He was a huge contributor towards that achievement, bagging 26 goals throughout the league season to land him his second Golden Boot award in a row.

The forward has always been known to provide more than just goals and this season was no different with Kane contributing eight assists.

The Bavarians did not lose a single game in which Kane participated this season, winning 22 and drawing six of his 28 caps.

Perhaps of more significance is the momentum his goals provided. On no less than 10 occasions this season, Kane scored the first goal of the game to put Bayern Munich 1-0 up and has an incredible record of scoring a goal for every 92 minutes played.
