Harry Kane dismisses exit talk as Bayern Munich form surges

Harry Kane has insisted he has no plans to leave Bayern Munich, despite reports in England linking him with a Premier League return.

The striker said he is fully focused on life in Germany after making a record-breaking start to the season.

Kane scored twice in Bayern's 4-0 win over Werder Bremen on Friday, becoming the fastest player in Europe's top five leagues this century to net 100 goals for a single club, achieving the feat in just 104 games.

He has already hit 15 goals and three assists in eight matches this campaign, leading Bayern's charge under coach Vincent Kompany.

"No, not at the moment. I'm really happy here. I have two years left on my contract. I'm enjoying every moment," Kane said when asked about possibly leaving the Bundesliga giants. "That (returning to England) is not in my thought process. I'm enjoying it with the team, with the coach, and hopefully we continue to be successful."

Kane has been pivotal since leaving Tottenham Hotspur in 2023, not only for his prolific scoring but also his leadership in the dressing room. Kompany has described him as "the ultimate professional who sets the standard every day."

Bayern have started the season with eight straight wins across all competitions, playing free-flowing attacking football and looking strong contenders for both Bundesliga and Champions League honours. With Kane spearheading their attack, the Bavarians remain confident he will extend his stay beyond his current deal, which runs until 2027.

For now, supporters will be hoping Kane maintains his relentless form to guide Kompany's men to more trophies at home and in Europe.
