Harry Kane breaks more records as scoring spree at Bayern Munich continues

In another dazzling display for Bayern Munich, England captain Harry Kane marked his incredible goal-scoring run by shattering two records in the Bundesliga.

The only goal in Bayern's victory over Cologne, securing their place at the top of the table, came from Kane's boot in the 20th minute. The goal followed Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting's shot, which was initially cleared off the line.

Kane's 18th goal of the season not only solidified Bayern's position but also etched his name in Bundesliga history.

He became the first player to score 18 goals in the first 12 matchdays of a season, showcasing his prolific form.

Additionally, Kane secured another milestone by becoming the first English player to reach 18 goals in a Bundesliga campaign, achieving this feat in just a third of the season.

This surpasses the records set by Jadon Sancho in 2019/20 and Kevin Keegan in 1978/79, both of whom scored 17.

The arrival of Harry Kane at Bayern Munich has seamlessly filled the void left by Robert Lewandowski's departure in 2022.

Comparatively, Kane has outperformed the Polish striker's first season with Bayern in 2014/15, where Lewandowski scored 17 goals in 31 games.

With 22 goals in all competitions, Kane now stands as the leading scorer across Europe's top five leagues.
