Barcelona's 2-0 defeat in the first leg has left them with a mountain to climb, and Flick is already managing his squad with that second leg in mind. Fresh legs and tactical precision will be vital if they are to turn the tie around away from home.
Only three players are expected to retain their places in the starting line-up - Joan Garcia, Pau Cubarsi and Lamine Yamal - with widespread rotation anticipated elsewhere.
Defensively, Flick faces several decisions. Alejandro Balde is pushing to return after injury, but the manager may be reluctant to risk him from the start given his lack of recent minutes. Both Joao Cancelo and Gerard Martin could be rested as fatigue begins to show.
There is also a potential recall for Ronald Araujo, although Flick could choose to protect him for the European clash. If so, Eric Garcia is ready to step in.
Midfield is where the biggest reshuffle is expected. Pedri is unlikely to feature after being taken off at half-time in midweek due to discomfort, while Frenkie de Jong may be eased back into action from the bench.
That could hand Gavi his first start since returning from injury, with the young midfielder steadily regaining match fitness. Marc Casado is also in contention for rare minutes as Flick looks to balance rotation with competitiveness.
Up front, the focus turns to Ferran Torres. The forward has been searching for a goal since January, and this derby offers him a valuable chance to rediscover his form.
For Barcelona, the priority is clear - manage the derby smartly, protect key players, and arrive fully prepared for a defining night in Europe.
