Erling Haaland and Vozinha lead fans' FIFA World Cup Dream Team

Cape Verde goalkeeper Vozinha and Norway striker Erling Haaland have earned places in the official fan-voted FIFA World Cup Dream Team after outstanding performances at the 2026 tournament.

The pair were among the biggest surprises in the supporters' selection, with fans rewarding both players for leading their nations on memorable World Cup campaigns.

Vozinha received 39.6 percent of the vote to finish as the fans' choice in goal, despite Spain's Unai Simon winning the official Golden Glove award, which is decided by FIFA's Technical Study Group.

The 40-year-old veteran produced several outstanding displays during Cape Verde's first-ever World Cup appearance. Having arrived at the tournament as a free agent after leaving Portuguese second-division club Chaves, Vozinha proved to be one of the competition's standout performers.

He made seven saves in a goalless draw against eventual champions Spain and played another key role as Cape Verde pushed eventual finalists Argentina into extra time in the Round of 32.

Haaland was equally influential, collecting 27.5 percent of the fan vote for forwards after inspiring Norway to a historic run to the quarter-finals, their best-ever finish at a World Cup.

The Manchester City striker scored seven goals in just five matches, including both goals in Norway's famous 2-1 victory over five-time champions Brazil in the Round of 16. Norway's impressive campaign eventually came to an end against England in the quarter-finals.

The fan-selected Dream Team also features several of the tournament's biggest stars, including Argentina captain Lionel Messi, France forward Kylian Mbappe and England midfielder Jude Bellingham.
