The 18-year-old Brazilian, signed from Palmeiras in the summer, was a late inclusion in the starting line-up after Cole Palmer was ruled out through injury.
Seizing his opportunity, he produced a Man of the Match performance, assisting Enzo Fernandez's goal and making a lively impact throughout.
Estevao also etched his name into the club's history books, becoming Chelsea's youngest-ever player to register an assist in the Premier League.
Beyond the numbers, he impressed with his energy and confidence, leading the side for passes into the final third, dribbles, and tackles.
However, the teenager's night was not flawless. He lost possession in the build-up to Lucas Paqueta's opener, a moment that Maresca highlighted as part of the learning curve for a player still adjusting to top-flight football.
"He is very young and a fantastic player," said Maresca.
"I am very happy with him. But he also has to adapt because the goal we conceded came from him trying to make a flick in the middle of the pitch."
