Carlo Ancelotti: Real Madrid 'deserve' to win LaLiga title

Carlo Ancelotti was delighted to see his Real Madrid side crowned LaLiga champions over the weekend, but now wants to shift focus to the Champions League.

Los Blancos made history once again as they secured their 36th LaLiga title, solidifying their status as the most successful club in the league's history, while arch-rivals Barcelona have 27 titles to their name.

The title-clinching moment came after Real Madrid's commanding 3-0 triumph over Cadiz at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday afternoon, combined with FC Barcelona's 4-2 defeat against Girona FC, a result that also guaranteed a Champions League spot for Michel's side next season.

Under the guidance of Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid have displayed a remarkable consistency throughout the LaLiga campaign, suffering only one defeat - a 3-1 loss in the Madrid Derby against Atletico Madrid back in September.

Moreover, their fortress-like performance at the Santiago Bernabeu, where they remain undefeated this season, has been a testament to their dominance.

"LaLiga has been spectacular this season and we have hardly slipped up," said Ancelotti after the win over Cadiz. œThe advantage we have is deserved... we deserve to win LaLiga."

Real Madrid will take on Bayern Munich in the second leg of their Champions League semi-final tie on Wednesday, after a 2-2 draw in Germany in the first leg.

"We have to put our joy on ice because we have a very important game ahead of us in the season. We're all focused on Wednesday's game," said Ancelotti.

"The less regular players have given 100% as they did against Real Sociedad. We have to be patient and wait because Wednesday is very close. We have to recover, rest and play our best against Bayern."
