AmaZulu head coach Brandon Truter is looking forward to his first full season at the club after taking over from Benni McCarthy midway through the 2021/22 campaign.
The former Swallows FC mentor has enjoyed a full pre-season with his charges and believes they are on the right track ahead of their first match against TS Galaxy next Sunday.

Usuthu have made several high-profile signings, building from their impressive recruitment drives under McCarthy in the previous two seasons, and 'Brakkies' is delighted with the investments made by President Sandile Zungu.
"I can't speak for what happened with the previous coach and his technical team. Right now I think everybody can see that the president and club have really done well in the transfer window, and I can only speak for now," said Truter.
"I'm standing with some very good signings, top quality, good personalities as well. On paper, it looks like a very good team but names on paper don't win you games, so it's for us to find the combinations, the right playing style and formation, and hopefully come up with a strategy that will suit all the players' strengths."

The club has roped in the likes of Gabadinho Mhango and Dumisani Zuma from Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs respectively following some off-the-field issues but their contribution to the team is something that excites Truter.
"Very well, and absolutely no problems with both of them. Gaba is smiling on training, even Zuma as well, though he picked up a knock. But all of them are doing very well," he added.
