Golden Arrows 1-0 Sekhukhune United
Golden Arrows strengthened their hopes of a top-eight finish with a 1-0 win over Sekhukhune United.
After a scoreless first half defined by missed opportunities, Sabelo Sithole found the breakthrough in the 82nd minute, dancing through the defence to fire home the winner.
The home side relied on a late, acrobatic save from goalkeeper Edward Maova to preserve the lead, securing three points that cements their position of eighth.
This defeat is a major blow to Sekhukhune's hopes of continental qualification as Babina Noko now find themselves in sixth position - having started the weekend in third. It extends their winless run in the Betway Premiership to four matches.
Siwelele 1-0 Orbit College
Siwelele extended their impressive unbeaten streak at Free State Stadium, narrowly defeating a stubborn Orbit College side.
The decisive moment came early in the 10th minute when Chibuike Ohizu clinically finished a through ball from Tebogo Potsane.
While the visitors pushed for an equalizer in the closing stages, the Bloemfontein outfit remained defensively sound to claim a victory that keeps them within touching distance of the top-eight bracket.
The loss leaves Orbit College in 15th place (18 points), deeply entrenched in the relegation zone and just four points ahead of bottom-placed Magesi.
Durban City 1-0 Richards Bay
The KwaZulu-Natal derby at Chatsworth Stadium was a tense affair, with Durban City eventually grinding out a win over Richards Bay.
Despite Richards Bay rattling the woodwork twice in the first half, they couldn't find a way past City goalkeeper Darren Keet.
The deadlock was finally broken when Samkelo Maseko latched onto a long ball from Terrence Mashego late in the game, calmly slotting it home to keep Durban City in fifth position and firmly in the hunt for CAF Confederation Cup qualification.
Meanwhile, the Natal Rich Boyz remain in 12th place (23 points), but they are now looking over their shoulder at the relegation-threatened teams below them as they have only managed one win in their last five league outings.
