Beto feels 'blessed' by Everton journey and fans' unwavering support

Beto has shifted the focus away from past results and onto what it truly means to lead the line for Everton, describing his role at the club as "a gift from God" during a crucial stage of the season.

While his recent goals against Chelsea in the 3-0 win underlined his growing importance, the striker made it clear his biggest motivation comes from representing Everton and repaying the faith shown in him.

"For me, it's special," Beto said. "It's a gift from God. I asked for small things, and He gave me this opportunity to be here and be the number nine at the Club."

The forward's journey this season has not been straightforward. He admitted performances earlier in the campaign did not meet expectations, but pointed to the unwavering support from fans as a key factor in his resurgence.

"The season wasn't going so well, but the fans kept saying to me: 'Keep going, Beto! Keep working!' That support means everything," he explained. "You feel it every day, and it pushes you to give more."

Beto also highlighted the connection between the squad and supporters, insisting that unity will be vital as Everton chase a strong finish in the Premier League.

"The players match the energy the fans give us," he added. "When you feel that, you just want to fight for the badge and for them."

Under David Moyes, Everton have worked their way into contention for a potential European place, sitting within touching distance of the top six with several key fixtures still to come.

The Toffees face a demanding run-in, including clashes with Brentford, Liverpool, West Ham United and Manchester City.

For Beto, however, the objective is simple: continue working, keep improving, and honour the opportunity he believes he has been given.

"I'm just blessed to be here," he said.
