Bayern's Aleksandar Pavlovic sets sights on becoming match-dictating midfielder

The midfielder wants to evolve into someone who can dictate the tempo of matches and lead through his performances, underlining the lofty expectations he has placed on his own development.

"I want to play with courage. I want everyone to see that I'm afraid of nothing and no one, and to show the world what I'm capable of.

"I want to control the game, make it my own, and project composure and authority. I want to bring my teammates into the game and work tirelessly for the team."

Pavlovic has already established himself as one of Europe's outstanding deep-lying passers. During the 2025-26 campaign, he recorded the highest passing accuracy of any player across Europe's five major leagues.

His rise began with his Bundesliga bow on 28 October 2023, when he came off the bench against Darmstadt 98 in an 8-0 Bayern victory. A week later, he supplied his first league assist for Harry Kane in a 4-0 win over Borussia Dortmund.

He later made his first league start against Heidenheim and debuted in the Champions League against Copenhagen on 29 November. His maiden senior goal came against Augsburg in January 2024.

Bayern rewarded his progress with a contract extension until June 2029.
