Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane chasing history with scoring frenzy

Harry Kane could make history this Friday as Bayern Munich host Werder Bremen.

The English striker needs just two goals to reach 100 for Bayern in all competitions, a feat that would make him the fastest player ever in Europe's top five leagues to hit the century mark for a single club.

Kane has already scored 98 goals in 102 appearances, giving him a remarkable scoring rate of nearly a goal per game.

If he finds the net twice against Bremen, he will break the record jointly held by Cristiano Ronaldo and Erling Haaland, who each reached 100 goals in 104 games for Real Madrid and Manchester City respectively.

The 32-year-old has been in sensational form this season, netting 13 goals in seven matches. He has scored in every game except one, including a brilliant double in Bayern's 3-1 Champions League win over Chelsea last week, underlining his consistency at the highest level.

Despite his remarkable form, Kane has often been overlooked for the biggest individual awards, finishing 13th in the Ballon d'Or rankings this week. He has said that breaking this record would be 'a special moment' and could boost his chances for future accolades.

With just one game to match the record and two to break it, all eyes will be on Kane at the Weserstadion as he looks to cement his place among Europe's all-time elite forwards.
