Arthur Sales targets points at Richards Bay after Stellies sting

Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Arthur Sales says they are still feeling the effects of dropping points against Stellenbosch FC and are determined to make amends against Richards Bay on Sunday evening.

The reigning Betway Premiership champions missed the chance to take control of the title race with Orlando Pirates after conceding late to Gavin Hunt’s side and settling for a draw at Loftus Versfeld last Tuesday.

Sales insists the squad will travel to KZN with a clear focus on improving their performance and returning to winning ways.

"Of course, we are feeling this draw, like bad things, but I think it's a good step to also improve so, after that draw, it has pushed us to do better," said Sales.

The Natal Rich Boys have been near impossible to beat in their own backyard – beating Kaizer Chiefs and holding Pirates to a draw recently.

Sales says Sundowns fans will be expecting them to change that when they visit Umhlathuze Sports Complex this evening.

"I think it's a tough game to play that side, but I think we have something to show so we need to show something to our fans, we feel like we need to give something to our fans – we have to respond for our fans," he added.

"Of course, it's nice to play with a full stadium, I think it's just sold out because everyone believes in us, so we need this force and it's good that our fans are answering us with belief.

"We need to show 100 percent strength in this game and win these three points."
