The Ghana forward continued his impressive start on Tuesday night, opening the scoring in City's 2-0 Carabao Cup semi-final first-leg win away to Newcastle United. Rayan Cherki added a late second to give Pep Guardiola's side a strong advantage ahead of the return leg at the Etihad next month.
Semenyo had already made an eye-catching debut at the weekend, scoring and assisting in a 10-1 FA Cup demolition of Exeter City. He also thought he had scored twice at St James' Park, only for a second effort to be ruled out after a lengthy VAR review.
Having joined City only days earlier, the 26-year-old credited his rapid adaptation to the environment he has walked into.
"The whole environment here is perfect," Semenyo said. "Everyone is confident and wants to achieve the best. They've helped my confidence and made me feel welcome.
"It's been a lot to take in, but I'm enjoying it and picking things up very quickly. I'm playing with a smile on my face and enjoying every moment."
Semenyo added that he has carried belief from his time at Bournemouth into his new surroundings, describing himself as a powerful and clinical forward who was simply "in the right area to tap it in" against Newcastle.
City, who are unbeaten in cup competition this season, will hope Semenyo can maintain his momentum when they face Manchester United in the derby on Saturday. Guardiola's side sit six points behind Premier League leaders Arsenal after drawing their last three league matches.
