Just a few hours after being named the Betway Premiership Coach of the Month for September and October, Pirates went on to register a sensational 3-1 win over Golden Arrows to take their unbeaten run to eight matches in the league.
The victory put them in a comfortable second position on the log, just three points behind log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns, with two games in hand, and Ouaddou says his players and technical staff are collectively responsible for their form.
"About me, like I said, I don't like individual awards. For me, if I was the coach of the month, it's thanks to the players – we have to give credit to the players, thanks to my South Africa staff – competent staff who are working with me.
"Thanks to the club, the management as well, I think instead of saying 'Ouaddou is the coach of the month, I prefer to say that Orlando Pirates is the club of the month. So it's an award for our club, and not only the coach."
A goal from Nkosikhona Ndaba and a brace from Yanela Mbuthuma, both formerly of Richards Bay FC, secured the three points for the Buccaneers, and Ouaddou said the performance of these two players reflects the work of the whole group.
"About these two players, it's like all my boys, I cannot just take the performance of these two boys, I have to look at the performance of the whole team," he added.
"I always say that if one player or two players are shining on the pitch, it's because of the performance of the whole team, so thanks to the group and well done to them [Ndaba and Mbuthuma].
"But the most important thing for me as a coach, I look at the overall performance of the boys."
