The second match of the Greatest Rivalry Tour is set for Tuesday in dubious weather. The All Blacks initially named their number one scrumhalf Roigard on the bench for the encounter, but injury has forced management's hand.
"Cam Roigard has been pulled from the side to play the Sharks as a precautionary measure," read the update on the All Blacks instagram.
"He has a tight calf, so the decision has been made to allow some time for that to settle. Cortez Ratima will take his place on the bench."
Roigard has been in sublime form in 2026, scoring 12 tries across 18 matches, including a brace against France in June.
Ratima, who starred for the tourists in their last-gasp win over the Stormers on Friday, backs up Crusaders upstart Kyle Preston from the bench.
