Zakary Foulkes makes dream Test debut as New Zealand dismantle Zimbabwe

Debutant Zakary Foulkes took nine wickets in the game to help New Zealand canter to an innings and 359-run victory in the second Test against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo and ensure a series clean sweep.

Seamer Foulkes returned figures of 5-37 in nine overs, the best by a New Zealand bowler on Test debut, as the home team were dismissed for a paltry total of 117 in the second innings with the match completed before lunch on the third day.

Zimbabwe were bowled out for just 125 in the first innings, fast bowler Matt Henry taking 5-40, but fared even worse second time around to capitulate to their heaviest defeat in Test cricket.

Replying to the home side's 125, the Black Caps' batters were in dominant mood as they racked up a total of 601-3 that included three centurions.

Opener Devon Conway struck 153, Henry Nicholls was 150 not out and Rachin Ravindra scored an unbeaten 163 as the Kiwis put their foot on the throat of a deflated Zimbabwe bowling unit.

The visitors walk away with a 2-0 series clean sweep of the series after a convincing nine-wicket victory in the first Test that was also played at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo.
