West Indies thrash Pakistan in third and final ODI to seal series victory

Jayden Seales took career-best figures to help West Indies thrash Pakistan by 202 runs in the third and deciding ODI and seal a 2-1 series victory.

Fast bowler Seales returned figures of 6-18 - the joint second-best figures by a West Indian in men's ODI cricket - as Pakistan were bowled out for just 92, chasing a target of 295.

Pakistan's inning lasted just 29.2 overs with the top-score coming from Salman Agha with 30 while Mohammad Nawaz was unbeaten on 23 on a sorry looking scorecard for the visitors in Trinidad.

West Indies has earlier posted a total of 294-6 in their 50 overs thanks largely to 120 not out from captain Shai Hope while Justin Greaves smashed and unbeaten 43 from 24 balls.

It was West Indies' biggest ever win in 50-over cricket against Pakistan while it was a first ODI series win against the same opponents in 34 years.

The result and series victory will also be a welcome relieve for Windies head coach Daren Sammy, who has overseen a turbulent time in recent months.
