The team has been in camp in Johannesburg and played a warm-up match against the CSA U19 Invitational XI recently, winning by eight runs. Bulbulia says the boys look sharp for the three-match series at Willowmoore Park, with both Lethabo Phahlamohlaka and Adnaan Lagadien recording centuries in that match.
"I think a lot off guys are on good form at the moment so it's tough to put a name on it, but there was obviously standout performers. Everyone is quite excited, it's been a good week of training, together with the warm-up game and everyone is ready to get going tomorrow."
Any Indian side is good competition, and Bulbulia says this is exactly the type of opposition they need ahead of a major tournament. The U19 World Cup will be held in Zimbabwe and Namibia from January 15, with the 2014 champions taking on Afghanistan in their opening match the very next day.
"India are obviously a high quality side, so it's going to be a competitive series and exactly what we need building up to the World Cup."
South Africa will then go on to face Tanzania and the West Indies in Group D in Windhoek, and Bulbulia says there’s always pressure to win any international tournament they play.
