Moeketsane is nominated for Volunteer of the Year, alongside Nqobile Qabukile Kunene of horse racing and Moenyane Clementia of roller sport, in a highly competitive category.
The awards will take place at Sun City in the North West tomorrow night.
The 68-year-old has told SABC Sport that she never gets tired of volunteering because she loves seeing children enjoy sport.
"My sporting code is mini cricket and I love it very much because when the kids play, they play for enjoyment and as I've been nominated I'm very, very excited because I've long served in this field," Moeketsane said.
The pensioner has also opened up about some of the challenges she faces as a volunteer.
She has appealed to Sports Minister Gayton McKenzie to assist volunteers and make it easier for them to continue developing young children through sport.
"I went to the creches, pre schools to go and start this mini cricket. I'm the coordinator of different creches where I work very smart with the committee and the coaches,” she added.
“We've got so many challenges, at times they'll say there's a meeting somewhere in Benoni and I don't have money but you've got to male a point that you go there because of the love of the sporting code.
“What I can say, the minister can help us by having more kids in the sporting code and also help us get the necessary equipment for them to play this mini cricket to go far."
