Josh Tongue set for ODI debut as England name squad for India series

The England Cricket Board has revealed its 16-strong squad to take on India in a three-match ODI series.

Fast bowler Josh Tongue has been added to the squad after his recent exploits with the red ball against New Zealand. Another potential debutant is all-rounder James Coles.

Harry Brook will likely captain the side for the first ODI at Edgbaston on Tuesday, 14 July, as rumours continue around whether he will be appointed Test captain in the aftermath of Ben Stokes' international retirement.

Bowlers Gus Atkinson and Saqib Mahmood also return to the squad, while the out-of-form Zak Crawley misses out on selection.
