Jasprit Bumrah returns to India squad for T20I series against Afghanistan

Jasprit Bumrah has recovered from injury and returns to India's squad for the upcoming three-match T20I series at home against Afghanistan.

Bumrah has been sidelined with a knee injury since July, missing the third ODI against England and the subsequent Test series in Sri Lanka.

Nitish Kumar Reddy, Harshit Rana and Washington Sundar have also recovered from knocks to be included in India's 15-man group that will once again be captained by Shreyas Iyer.

Sanju Samson, Arshdeep Singh and Axar Patel are back in the squad after being rested from India's most recent T20I series against Zimbabwe in July.

Rinku Singh, Prabhsimran Singh, Harsh Dubey, Suryansh Shedge, Ashok Sharma, Prince Yadav, Mayank Yadav and Yash Thakur were the players left out from the squad that toured Zimbabwe.

Hardik Pandya is still on the treatment table having suffered a leg strain while training at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru.
