Charith Asalanka returns as Sri Lanka vice-captain for white-ball tour to England

Charith Asalanka has returned as Sri Lanka vice-captain for the upcoming white-ball tour to England that will comprise three T20Is and three ODIs.

Asalanka was stripped of the captaincy in the 50-format in May while he was dropped from the T20I side altogether earlier this year.

Kusal Mendis will continue to captain both Sri Lanka's white-ball sides while former vice-captain Kamindu Mendis has been retained in both squads.

Dasun Shanaka returns to the ODI group following an absence of more then two years, while leg-spinner Sachindu Colombage has received a maiden call-up.

The rest of the squads were named as expected, with Pathum Nissanka and Kusal fit again after their lay-off periods through injury.
