Australia thrash India to keep Test series alive and seal place in WTC final

Australia completed a nine-wicket win over India on day three of the third Test in Indore.

After Usman Khawaja had been dismissed for a duck, caught behind off spinner Ravichandran Ashwin to the second ball of the day, the tourists reached their victory target of 76 before lunch without further loss.

Travis Head finished unbeaten on 49 with Marnus Labuschagne 28 not out.

Australia off-spinner Nathan Lyon had taken eight for 64 in India's second innings when the hosts were 163 all out on day two.

Victory for Australia secured a place in the World Test Championship final at The Oval in June.

India now lead the four-Test series 2-1 and could yet join Australia in London should they win the final Test in Ahmedabad.
